Little Champion

Little Champion is a DIY "Bedroom Punk" project by Dustin Goldklang. This project is an intentional effort to get back into creating after a four-year hiatus from music. Before his break, he would write full songs in a sitting, but this time his creativity has come in a different flow. The creative process has remained therapeutic. This cathartic aspect is part of what has drawn him back to it. He takes a thought that he finds interesting and makes it into something fun to listen to.

 

Long before Little Champion Goldklang hated music. At just three years old as he sat infront of a piano with his mother he showed a natural talent for music. He was soon forced into piano lessons; shortly after begining he quit held a steady disinterest in music until middle school. He realized he was allowed to have a unique taste in music. The journy of finding his taste in music began with pop-punk. Listeners can hear these early pop-punk roots in Little Champion. At age 14 he began writing songs and continued to grow muscially, until he unintentionally took years away from music. 

Little Champion's first album Curiosity was done completely solo. While Goldklang has done everything by himself on this record he is looking forward to collaborating with fellow artists on his upcoming project. He is hoping to get a few singles out before a second album, all of which is up in the air and in the early stages of creation. Through putting out more music Goldklang hopes to continue to grow in his craft. While he creates and puts music out for himself and his growth, people connecting to his music in some way help encourage the desire to continue. Goldklang will precede new music with several live shows playing songs off Curiosity and his previous EPs.
