Tyler Markarian

Tyler Markarian got his start playing on worship teams; while worship music will always be a huge part of his life, it is not what he aims to plant his music career in. He moves towards music that makes the listener want to move. He likes to play, create, and listen to any music that is rooted in groove. Which is not just limited to R&B and Soul, although that is his favorite, this love of groove expands to a more modern pop sound that is rooted in these classic styles; think Anderson Paak. In the last year Markarian has seen an evolution in his music that he hopes to continue into this year. He has come to find he works best as a solo artist, not having to compromise any artistic vision in his sound. Working as a solo artist has allowed him to play with the sound more than you might when working with another musician. In addition to this musical freedom, he has also gotten over the fear of his music being labeled as"pop". He has been writing, experimenting and enjoying the process rather than forcing an expected outcome.

Of the many blessings that being a musician has brought Markarian in the last year the biggest is being able to make a living with his music. As he continues to play local shows and teach music lessons he hopes to get his music up on streaming platforms and branch out the geographical location of his music. To meet these goals he will be putting a single out to show that he has a sound he is proud of, and getting his name on Spotify with this sound will help  in growing his career. Once he becomes more established in an online presence he plans to open for other musicians on their tours. Through all of this Markarian is in the process of writing a full length album. Ultimately his main goal for the year is to answer the question: "Where can I find your music?", with a Spotify link rather than a feeble: "I'm working on it".

Markarian's draw to music and his push to make his dream a reality is rooted in being able to connect with people. As an extrovert wanting to connect with others comes naturally so it only makes sense for him to pursue the most connected artistic outlet as a career.
