Also Joe

Also Joe has been playing guitar since he was about 15. He picked up the instrument after he decided he needed some sort of accompaniment to his voice. A few years ago he began to make a habit of making music, getting into a groove to ensure he did not quit a hobby he enjoys. In the last six months Joe has begun to pursue music as a career, rather than pursuing it as a serious hobby. He recently quit his day job to pursue music, saying, "If it doesn't make you happy, don't do it."

While Joe makes music he aims to create and convey an emotion that someone else will relate to and be able to sing along with. The end goal is to create something another person can connect to while being true to yourself. 

Joe is currently working on his second full length album. This project is self-titled, not out of lack of creativity, rather 'Also Joe' is a carefully thought out title. Nothing Joe has made before and nothing he plans to make in the future will be as personal as this record so he needed a title that is extremely unique to him. Joe explained the most unique thing about a person is their name; there is nothing that is so wholly yours, that is more unsharable than your own name. 

'Also Joe' is a record that is all about growing up and coming to terms with the youthful mistakes you have made while learning and growing from them. Not only are the topics heavier than anything Joe has released so far. While Joe's sound has not taken a complete turn into a new genre; lyrically he has moved away from the "radio friendly" lyrics. 

Joe plans to have 'Also Joe', the record, out in October. The album will be dropped all at once, without prior singles. The goal is to give his listeners something completely new with no hint as to what the album as a whole will sound like. The only information the listener has to form an expectation of what ‘Also Joe’ will sound like is knowing that 'Also Joe' is like the cool older brother of 'Beach Flower', Also Joe's first record.
