Sicily Jordan

With her father as her biggest inspiration, supporter and her mentor Sicily Jordan has become a self-taught musician. Music has been a huge part of her life since she was a child. Her father made it a priority that Jordan and her siblings were not only listening to music, but also making music. As she has gotten older and grown as an artist the more she has written with her father.

In addition to her father, artists like The Beatles, Elton John, Brandi Carlile and many more have provided Jordan with a source of inspiration. Most importantly her love of story telling drives her songwriting. Most of Jordan's inspiration comes from, "moments and stories I experience as well as the ones I witness." Her love of story telling works out as a way for her to "explore, understand, and express the human experience," as well as work through and express her own emotions. Jordan often finds the song almost writes itself once she has found a good story. In her writing she aims for a timeless sound which she achieves through her story-like lyrics.

Jordan writes all of her own music and lyrics and is a solo artist; however, she relies on support and input from those around her to make her music the best it can be.

Jordan's newest single 'Gloriana' shows her love of stories. The song is about a young girl who believes the absolute best in everyone. "I wrote the song to inspire young women to embrace their true value and remind the rest of the world [of] the beauty that can be found if we just reawaken that youthful heart," explained Jordan.

Music has a near limitless power that can bring people together and inspire them, but music's power only works if it is shared. Jordan's main goal is currently simply sharing her music. Her music can be found on all major streaming platforms, notably Apple Music and Spotify.
