Flood The Tower

Flood The Tower spent a good amount of time just being an idea before they became a band. Before the band vocalist and guitarist, Gage Johnson, played guitar with drummer, Zakk Marks, and keyboardist, Caige Hazelwood. They wrote a ton of music in this three piece band and started to see improvement in their musicianship. Johnson built a tiny home studio and as their tiny band began to fade out he started to focus on his own music. Under the name Flood The Tower, Johnson put out two singles before asking Marks and Hazelwood to join him taking Flood The Tower from an idea to a solo project to a band. Since then bassist AJ Watson and guitarist John Abbott have joined the band.

Flood The Tower has been working on the beginning stages of an EP. The band feels as though they have finally nailed down what their sound is and are excited to get the EP out. "I feel that this EP will bring that sound to the surface and define who we are as a band," says Johnson.

Listeners can expect Flood The Tower's new EP to hold a catchy sound inspired by Cage The Elephant, Twenty One Pilots, Radiohead and several other alternative bands. The EP is largely inspired by whatever the band has been listening to and going through when they are in the writing process. The EP will be a moody collection of songs that are made for the listeners.

As music serves as a tool to express themselves while connecting with others the music is an extension of who Flood The Tower is as individuals. The band believes that music is a mean of endless connection. It allows a writer to connect with their emotions, listeners to connect to what they hear and what that sound makes them feel, and people to connect with other people, explained Johnson. Flood The Tower hopes to be an emotional outlet for anyone who needs it, including the band members.
