Lotus Park

Lotus Park is guitarist and vocalist Aleksi Madrigal's side project to ensure he does not get tired of his other band. 

Madrigal began playing drums at age 5 and has not stopped since. Ten years after he began playing he saw Blink-182 play and was in complete awe of Travis Barker. Eventually Madrigal learned guitar and immediately learned all the same Blink-182 songs he had been playing on drums. As a musician Madrigal is a drummer at heart, but when Lotus Park records he plays everything. For anything other than recording Lotus Park has Darryl Liera on drums and Quintin Millan on bass. 

Lotus Park is only a month old project and currently working on their first EP: Cherry Hill. The EP is three songs with Madrigal behind each instrument. The record is produced by Sunshade Production, a production company in Madrigal's hometown. Listeners can expect a bit of melancholy mixed with energetic aggression from Cherry Hill. 

Music gives Madrigal an outlet for every emotion. Madrigal was raised in a very supportive family who did not have much in terms of money or material possessions. Every hardship and any amount of stress he has ever gone through goes into his music. He believes if it was not for music he would be a fairly aggressive person and not the happy guy his family and friends know him as. Madrigal writes about everything in his life regardless if it is a positive or a negative experience.

Madrigal hopes people will give his music a chance. He knows not everyone is going to like it, but he has put a lot of work into his music and everyone is capable of at least giving it a chance. Madrigal's goal is to make music his full time job; holding this goal, but not taking music extremely seriously allows him to have fun with his music.
