Jared Minnix

Jared Minnix believes God blesses everyone with certain gifts; creativity is his gift and it would be a shame to waste such a thing. Minnix loves all forms of creativity: acting, photography, and most notably music.

Like so many musicians of this generation Minnix's love of music was born through Guitar Hero. While playing the game with his cousins he fell in love with classic rock. He got his first guitar and learned to play "Smoke on the Water", all on the E-string. That little taste of guitar was enough to make him fall in love with it. Lucky enough to grow up in the age of YouTube, Minnix was able to teach himself guitar. When he began learning guitar at age 12 he knew that he never wanted to stop making music. 

Minnix loves the process of making music; when he listens to music, especially a song he has never heard before, he listens carefully to the structure, how the song is mixed, and the production. He analyzes each song getting a taste of how other people have created a song. 

Minnix's music is inspired by nearly everything. "Anything from light, shadows, or textures can bring waves of inspiration," explains Minnix. Minnix has a creative agency called UNPPLR. The agency works with artists of all mediums: photography, videography, and graphic design. Minnix is able to pull inspiration from UNPPLR. From this inspiration he creates music that is authentic and vulnerable. 

Minnix has recently released a new single "LMLY"-love me like you- that is all about about his struggle for fulfillment. The song was written when Minnix was feeling incredibly empty and searching for the answer to a question that he had not even begun to ask. He found that no amount of success, financial security or relationship could fill this void. Only his faith could. 

Minnix hopes to put out a new single every couple months. 2020 has been rough, but has pushed him to take risks.
