Jack West

Jack West is making waves in the music scene at only 15. West is bringing back a distinct Rock n Roll sound. His sound was shaped by his father introducing him to Pearl Jam when he was just a toddler. He is growing up with rock all around him. Already having worked with Barrett Jones and playing with Eddie Vedder on stage West is on a track that will surely bring his music into the mainstream.

West has always loved music; as a two year old he loved Pearl Jam, as a four year old he was infatuated by Jim Morrison. At age four he began playing piano, then began guitar lessons four years later. West was playing shows in his hometown by the time he was 10. The moment that really made something click that he is supposed to be a musician is when he was pulled on stage to play with Eddie Vedder when he was just 12.

West has been making music for as long as he can remember; some of these songs can be heard in a more polished format on his debut LP, released in 2019, For the Record. These songs were chosen from many with famed producer Barrett Jones. Jones has produced for many Seattle bands including Nirvana. The songs are a bit of a homage to West's first ever recordings as well as the "classic vinyl sound".

Music is a form of expression for every artist and the importance of expression does not escape West. He writes whatever he wants based on personal experiences and hopes that someone likes it. West goes into recording sessions with nothing down; he writes and records everything the same day.

For West when there is nothing to look forward to there is always music. His fans have some new music to anticipate; on October 30 west will be releasing a single titled "Missing Out" with Mike McCready of Pearl Jam. West says that the single has an "apocalyptic feel".
