Chloe Gallardo

Chloe Gallardo is a musician, raised by musicians. She spent her childhood going to her parent's shows: an activity that sparked her desire to be on stage. Despite being raised by musicians she is entirely self-taught. Gallardo spent quite a bit of time in her childhood writing fun little songs. As she grew into her musicianship in high school she began to take writing a bit more seriously. 

A turning point in Gallardo taking her music seriously was a moment during a show she attended at The Roxy when she was in high school. At the show Gallardo was focused on the lead singer. Watching the lead singer made her truly realize that she wanted to do exactly what that singer was doing. "I had this vision of fronting a band, a few years later it just happened," recalls Gallardo. 

Gallardo is a solo artist; although she writes with her producer and live guitarist Noah Kurtz. Each song is sure to make the listener feel a range of emotions, mostly emotions of sadness while the cheery music delivers incredibly melancholic lyrics.

Inspired by Men I Trust and, more recently, the simplicity of Nancy Sinatra's music Gallardo is creating an absolutely dreamy bedroom pop sound. All her best ideas strike while she's driving; an inconvenient and incredibly unsafe setting for inspiration to hit, Gallardo manages to get to her phone to type out her ideas. While this is an incredibly dangerous way to get her ideas out it seems to work for Gallardo. 

Music, while very personal for Gallardo, has allowed her to meet her closest friends. Everything about music is a source of joy and excitement for her. Gallardo explains that it's, "rare to have feelings like that nowadays". 

On October 16 Gallardo released 'Twentyfold': a single that is accompanied by her first "real" music video. The song is a bit darker than her previous releases, but still holds the same soft melancholic sound. The music video shows Gallardo and a ghost in various locations. The video matches the sound and feeling of the song perfectly.
