Geskle

Utilizing his high school nickname, Geskle, for his music Jesse Damon has released his first EP Rose Colored Glasses. The EP was produced by Damon's friend Aaron Garcia, aka Pillbook. The EP serves as a close on Damon's high school years. Rose Colored Glasses is notably the most rock inspired record Damon plans to put out. Focusing more on the pop side of the EP's sound.

The songs on the EP are material Damon wrote for his former band that fell apart after everyone got a bit lazy about the band, to no one's fault. Damon is just relieved to be making music again. He writes all his own music, then works with Garcia to tighten up loose ends in production.

Damon was a bored 12 year old living in the middle of nowhere Tennessee when his father bought him a guitar at a pawn shop. Without internet at home Damon would find free internet in the closest town and write down Nirvana songs so he could learn them at home. Gradually he became a skilled guitarist, using music to connect with other kids at school. He hopes that someone who is an outcast, like he was, can use his music to connect and make a new friend.

Although 90's grunge is what got him into music he now finds artists like Mac Demarco and Tame Impala to be a bit more inspirational. Damon's own music, while still rock inspired, falls more into the category of synth driven indie pop with Tame Impala. He creates a sound that feels both melancholy and incredibly hopeful all at once.

Every song on Rose Colored Glasses feels as though it should be played driving down the freeway with your friends and all the windows down in summer time; a feeling that Damon worked hard to create. As a listener Damon spends most of his time driving, without a destination, so he wanted to create music that is perfect for that type of listening.
