Mortigi Tempo

Mortigi Tempo is a band built on friendship and the rock n roll spirit. Although the current line up is not the same as when the band formed, those friendships remain strong. The new line up only allows for more life long friendships to be forged. The current line up that Mortigi Tempo holds is Christopher Fallo on vocals and guitar, Marc Leach in bass guitar and percussion, and Eric Watson on drums.

Mortigi Tempo has taken time during quarantine to write material for a new album. The material consists of many originals as well as a couple of covers. The covers are of well loved songs by Cream and TREX with a bit of a twist: Mortigi Tempo let their sound bleed into these covers. Mortigi Tempo plans on releasing their new music throughout the end of this year.

Each member of Mortigi Tempo had a few lessons in their respective instruments. They let what they learned about proper music etiquette sink in and ultimately decided they hated it. Seeing as Mortigi Tempo is for anti-establishment it only makes sense they would disregard the rules of music set up by an establishment. The true rock n roll spirit is deep rooted in these musicians.

“Inspiration comes from failure, or the overall pain that is life. Without the struggle it would be pointless,” said Fallo on the band’s source of inspiration. Mortigi Tempo makes “desert psych rock” that rides on the themes of their inspiration. Fallo also mentions groups like Muse and The Beatles as major sources of inspiration stating his trust of musicians who have not been inspired at least a little bit by these bands is lingering at best.

Mortigi Tempo admits that the idealized concept of being a rock star is dead. However, the band still strives to get their music out to as many people as possible. The intention is someone hears one of their songs and the song makes their day, or night, a little bit better.
