Snacks At Midnight

Snacks at Midnight is a Spokane based indie band. The group is made up of lead vocalist and guitarist Rory Babin, lead guitarist Giovanni Covarrubias, drummer Gary Stivers, bassist Nickolaus Harner, and keyboard player William Babin. The five friends met in high school becoming fast friends, finding they had a common interest: music. While music is a common interest, the types of music each member of Snacks at Midnight enjoys is fully their individual taste. Some members prefer to fill their ears with funk and R&B while others prefer the softer, more mellow sounds of lo-fi and classical music. 

Each member brings his own inspiration to the table that has been derived from his own musical preferences to create a well rounded indie rock sound that holds a slight jazz influence in the rhythm section. Snacks at Midnight makes "fun, catchy," and lyrically ironic tunes. 

The group set a goal to spend time in the studio to record some new music. Of that new music will be a single titled, "The Tension"; the single was written a couple years ago when the band had a two week period of slight existential dread. The dread began when they started to wonder how they would die. Eventually they realized it did not matter, considering it is an inevitable fate. 

In addition to the single Snacks at Midnight plans to release an album at the beginning of fall. The album will have the same general vibe as their previous releases. The album will not stick to a single genre or feeling. 

Snacks at Midnight are planning to gain what they can from their music; including connection with each other. They have developed a bond within their music, creating a more fun environment when they play. When Snacks at Midnight jam someone will start a song and everyone knows what to play within a couple of notes. Their ability to melt together allows them to have the most enjoyable playing experience possible.
