Blivet

Blivet is a cluster of emotions. They inspire each other, they're loud, sappy, and funny. Blivet's music will make listeners feel that cluster of emotions they have put into each song. Blivet makes light grungy music that will make listeners feel everything in a new refreshing version of how Nirvana made kids in the 90's.
Blivet is NOT Nirvana, stop with the comparisons already. They just make grungy music that makes you want to fight the man. Blivet is three guys hanging out, playing music and having fun. "We're not Motley Crüe, we're just three [guys] having fun and playing music." They just had a lot to say and wanted to play; a perfect reason to start a band. The members of Blivet are more than the product of their music, they are all individuals.
Blivet's sound is inspired by each musician's personal tastes; each member's insanely different music tastes. Bassist Donavan Wildfong finds inspiration for bass licks (and dance moves) in Doo-Wop music. Wildfong also looks to the bassist of Her's for bass inspiration. He looks to what he's written for Her's and changes it up into the style of Blivet's music. Ben Harris, drummer, looks to the metal and hard core bands to channel that energy and style of drumming. Vocalist and guitarist Nick Alfonso loves the "crazy, instinctual , movement" of Tad. It's heavy, its gnarly, its rough. "Not only are you yelling really loud," says Alfonso. "You are breaking your neck head banging."
Blivet is currently working to make more high-energy "F-U-Pop" for the masses, but the process has been slowed down a tiny bit due to the global pandemic. The band is working to line up shows and getting new music recorded for this coming year. While Blivet has no new music coming out in the foreseeable future, Donavan Wildfong has some solo work coming out soon.
