Eowynn

High school junior Eowynn is not just another girl sitting in her bedroom playing ukulele and singing into her phone for fun; well, maybe that is part of what she does.
Eowynn uses her music as an outlet for her emotions; seeing as she is an extremely emotional person she has quite a lot of fuel for her art. Her emotions can be heard not only in her original songs that can be found on YouTube, Band Camp, and Spotify, but also in her covers. She covers artist's songs that she pulls inspiration from. Amongst these inspirations lives Chloe Maordiondo, AJR, and Eowynn's biggest inspiration: Dodie.
When listening to Eowynn's music you can hear her love and admiration of Dodie's work shine though. Even with such a strong influence pushing the music along, Eowynn's voice and music is entirely her own. It is her own emotions conveyed in the way she best communicates; even when the songs she plays are covers the listener can feel what she feels. Her voice takes her listener into the emotions she experiences when listening to whichever song she is covering. Eowynn's emotions truly come out in her original songs. There is a "satisfaction of putting something together that you put your whole heart into," said Eowynn, who must be feeling pretty satisfied all the time seeing as she does not seem capable of not putting her whole heart into every bit of art she creates.
Eowynn works from her bedroom, recording her music on her phone. Making music with just a phone to record can cause a bit of nerves to bubble up in an artist's chest, this is the case for Eowynn; however, she does not let it get to her. Her love of making music heavily outweighs her nerves.
Within her music Eowynn tries to go against the grain of popular music, focusing more on what is important to her rather than what everyone else seems to be creating.
The moment that this all clicked for her is straight out of a chick flick circa 1985. Eowynn was listening to her best friend sharing an experience with her. While her friend was talking she took down what was being shared with her and turned it into lyrics. Being able to connect with a friend in that way makes sense that she is meant to make music.
