Teagarden

Teagarden is currently a solo project by Austin Adams, but he has plans of finding musicians to work with. For now Teagarden is working to improve his musicality and write more music before he joins forces with more artists.  A self proclaimed “sucker for a good hook”, Adams works on writing songs that pull you in and make you think.
The inspiration for Teagarden comes from many different artists. Adams’ biggest influence has always and will always be Mars Volta. This group has changed the way he listens to music. Initially Mars Volta was not something Adams liked, a friend had gifted him their first album and it got stored away in his garage. A year later, the record was rediscovered and it changed everything for Adams. With a lighter impact, he finds inspiration for Teagarden in indie groups like Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, and Foals. Outside of music, Adams finds inspiration in everything from books and films to people in his life. Specifically he finds a lot of inspiration in his wife, Taylor Adams. “If you look at the people closest to you, you will find inspiration,” says Adams. He did just that as he was getting into music. His father, Gary Adams, spent a lot of time playing guitar and if he was not playing guitar then he had records playing. Gary Adams has an extremely open mind and quite the eclectic record collection. This taught Adams to keep an open mind and listen to everything at least once before judging.

Currently Teagarden has one song out on  Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and iTunes. Teagarden is hoping to have second song out before 2020. The new year will bring new music from Teagarden, including a 4-5 song EP.
