Over Under

Over Under can only be enjoyed live, for now. The band is currently working on recording their music. Listeners will be able to find Over Under on all streaming platforms in January.
Most of the members of Over Under met in high school. Guitarist and singer Max Moffat, guitarist Taylor Gwynn, and bassist Bexley Chapman played in a band in high school and have since added Taylor Gwynn’s younger brother, Jaden, on drums. With exception of the Gwynn brothers they all met in high school. One day in orchestra class Gwynn heard a bass line that sounded extremely familiar coming from the practice room and discovered Chapman playing "Money" by Pink Floyd on the upright bass.
Over Under, the name, comes from Taylor Gwynn’s obsession with binary numbers. Any number can be made into a binary pair, but it will never be exactly on. The numbers will always be slightly over or under what a perfect match would be.
Over Under is working on making their live shows a visual experience as well as a sonically pleasing experience. They want to make a visual aspect to show their fans what the music is. The band says they play, “music for the aliens”.

Over Under does not truly fit into any genre, but they play a mix of genres that comes out to make something that is alternative psych rock. As much as the band hates to say it, their music falls under the wide umbrella of indie. Their inspirations come from classic psychedelic bands like The Doors and Pink Floyd. Over Under also looks to visual art and films for inspiration. Science fiction has played a big roll in how the band writes and how they visually present their music.
Music goes with every aspect of life, you can listen to music while you do nearly anything. With music a person can break the rules and do anything they want. With that in mind Over Under makes music for anyone coming from any back ground. Over Under wants to share the experience of music with everyone regardless of political affiliations, or opinions on anything for that matter.
Over Under strives to continue to do what they love and eventually not have to have day jobs, FedEx Ground and Lowes are not forever. As long as the band is touching people with their music and are able to make it, they will be happy. They believe it is nice to be able to make a mark, in peoples lives and in the space time continuum. So if you happen to be in Utah, head on out to a show and help them make their mark.
