Not From England
Los Angeles based band "Not From England" is made up of vocalist and guitarist Leo Blumenfield, vocalist and guitarist Cast Blum, bassist DeRon Munroe, and drummer Beckett Pasdar. The band is currently recording new music, that like their already released tracks, will be on all streaming services in the near future.
Blum's father played guitar and always had old music playing so his interest in music has been ongoing since he was a child. Munroe got into music after hearing Nirvana's "Smells like Teen Spirit" and thought it might be cool to be able to play it, so he learned it on guitar. Pasdar took a liking to music after his family showed him various musicians. His mother would take him to shows when he was a kid. Pasdar's brother introduced him to music that would eventually inspire him to play music.
Blumenfield's father showed him YouTube videos of the Beatles. He and his father would watch The Beatles' last show, the famous rooftop performance.
Not From England does not fit under a specific genre. In the broadest of terms they play alternative music. The band finds inspiration in the work of artists such as Jurassic Shark, FIDLAR, and Ty Segall.
Not From England will be playing on January 4th at the Locker Room on February 22nd at The Smell in LA.
