Cardboard Boxer

A band as cool as their name, Cardboard Boxer play rock. The band listens to every genre so they incorporate every genre into their playing. That being said sometimes their music leans more towards punk, but their next album leans heavily into good ole rock n roll.
The members of Cardboard Boxer find their biggest inspiration in live shows, specifically big concerts. Everything that has to do with a big show fills the band with immense joy and inspiration; specifically the energy at a big show. Everyone in the venue knows the songs, concert goers can all feel the excitement and pure bliss radiating off each other. This energy also thrives at smaller local shows, but is the most prominent at the bigger shows. For Cardboard Boxer that inspires them to keep making music.
Cardboard Boxer is a mostly self taught band. While some of the members had lessons from their dad who played or played in their school band, they all learned the most by trying to one up each other. One person would spend a while learning a song and another person in the band would say “I can do that better” than learn the song. Their need to be better than each other and in turn pushing each other has made their playing skills progress to what they are today.
Cardboard Boxer joked that their goal with their music is world domination, but more realistically they just want to tour. Their short term goal is to just play as many venues as they can. The long term goal is to go on a world tour. When they tour in the states they hit the road in an ambulance that they acquired when half the band worked as EMT’s. They call their ambulance the “Jambulance”. Cardboard Boxer does as much as they can themselves. This includes doing all their own recording and mixing as well as making all their own shirts that are sold at their merchandise table.
Currently the members of the band have back up plans if music does not work out. In 2020 their full attention and full focus will be on the band and their music. So support Cardboard Boxer and listen to them on any major streaming service. If you can, go to a show. You can follow their Instagram  @cardboardboxers for show dates.
