The Live Oaks
The Live Oaks are a purely rock n roll band. They are here to remind the world that rock n roll is here to stay, even if it doesn't seem like it. Each musician in The Live Oaks- drummer and vocalist Evan Lanam, lead guitarist and vocalist Adam Spry, guitarist and vocalist Annie Simmons, and bassist Steve Jaegar- got into music because of a pure love of rock n roll. The shenanigans that go along with rock n roll are a happy bonus for the band.
Evan Lanam began The Live Oaks as a solo project for which he hired musicians to play as a backing band at each show. After doing this for a little while Lanam decided he needed some more permanent and committed musicians to play with him. So he contacted some close friends and the rest is rock n roll history.
The Live Oaks are currently working on mastering their album that will be out in the spring; however, the band has yet to set a date for the release. This album will be their first full length album.
The band finds their inspiration in the works of iconic classic rock bands such as the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. The members if The Live Oaks grew up listening to the popular music of the 1980s and 90s, or as Evan Lanam says: "the good stuff".
