Tangled Mane

Dawson Persyn under the stage name of Tangled Mane plays and writes music with the goal of making his listener feel something. Persyn tries to produce songs that might make someone feel good or even help someone get through a rough patch in their life. In fact the ability to make people feel good is Persyn's favorite aspect of music. The sense of making people feel good comes with community, for most musicians having a community who supports you is a big deal. 

Dawson Persyn found an acoustic and an electric guitar in his family's storage unit. Once Persyn got the guitars home he began to try and learn a little bit. The acoustic guitar only had three strings and Persyn did not know how to tune a guitar yet so he just played what he, "thought it sounded 'good' and started singing along while messing around with the neck of the guitar." After hours of playing and years later Dawson Persyn has made tons of progress and is writing his own music.

Persyn plays, and loves doing live shows; however, he currently doesn't have any shows planned as he is working on an album. He hopes to have the album finished by the end of this year. Until then you can find Dawson Persyn's music on SoundCloud under Tangled Mane. "I would say it's mainly indie, with some alternative and blues influence along the way", says Persyn.
