Dan Luke and The Raid

Dan Luke and The Raid released their debut album "Out Of The Blue" last month. The band is currently getting ready to begin working on their sophomore record. All of their music is available for your listening pleasure on all streaming platforms. For a physical copy of Dan Luke and The Raid you can visit their website (danlukeandtheraid.com), your local record store, or their merch table at any of their shows. The band says their music can be best described as "weird pop rock".
Each member of Dan Luke and The Raid look to very different artists for inspiration which creates a unique sound. Lead singer Dan Shultz looks to bands like MGMT, Led Zeppelin, and Andy Shauf. Bassist Anthony Joiner looks to some of the classics in rock n roll like KISS and Cream as well as some surf rock staples The Beach Boys and The Ventures. Drummer Kendrick Brent looks to artists who rose to their fame in the 1970s like New York Dolls, David Bowie and The Stooges. Their influences come together to make the perfect sound.
Artists get into their art form in all kinds of ways. Getting into music was extremely easy for Dan Schultz who grew up in a home that had a small studio in it; he has always had music music around him. When he was very young he began exploring music and obviously fell in love. Kendrick Brent is the son of a band geek and a rock n roll radio fanatic; he grew up listening to his parent's eclectic record collection. As for Anthony Joiner he simply took the plunge "head first straight into the frying pan."
