Weber Rations

Weber Rations is a venue located in East Los Angeles, California. Weber Rations is also a media and production company. The venue films shows that are played there; you can find these shows on YouTube. The venue books their acts through Make Out Music; this a group made up of Geoffrey Bywater, Tim Chin, and Lucas Connelly. Some of the acts they've booked are Vista Kicks, Manwolves, and Goth Babe. Their shows are always best when they have local support. "The guys coming from out-of-town can fill the room, but local acts bring it to life.", says Weber Rations manager Jack HS.
The venue got started after Jack HS was inspired by fans of the Grateful Dead who recorded their shows for future generations to enjoy, these videos are huge in keeping the Grateful Dead's legacy. Jack HS wanted to do the same thing, but with any show not just one specific band. Weber Rations began when he was working as a videographer and was a regular at LA shows. During this time Jack HS learned a lot about managing a DIY venue. So he and his then partner Sabrina Piersol found a warehouse space and put together HS's love of recording shows with his knowledge of venue management. When naming Weber Rations they wanted to make sure they went with a name that did not limit them. It made sense to go with "rations" as ration means something a person can consume. The word has almost no limits.
