Kylie V
Kylie V isn't your typical teen with a guitar. Kylie V has music on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music and SoundCloud as well as an album coming to the world in 2020 via Spotify and Apple Music.
Kylie V comes from a musical family and has coincidentally always known they wanted to be a musician. Kylie V's very first introduction to the Vancouver, BC music scene was their discovery of the record label Kingfisher Bluez(KFB). Peach Pit, a band native to Vancouver and former KFB artists, and major influence. After hearing the guitar solo in Peach Pit's song "Private Presley" Kylie V took up the electric guitar. More recently Kylie V has taken inspiration in Babe Corner, Snail Mail, and Big Thief to name a few. These influences will more than likely make a big splash on the up coming LP.
With not much knowledge in music theory or even the ability to read music Kylie V is almost entirely self taught. Having only had a little bit of vocal training and a single guitar lesson Kylie V is working towards their goals: releasing an EP and a couple music videos in the next year and putting together a backing band.
Kylie V frequently plays shows and is constantly updating their Instagram @kylievmusic with information about shows.
