Rivers Ventura
Solo artist Rivers Ventura plays what he calls a "west coast influenced mutt". He likes to take electronic drum beats and mix them with more beachy indie guitar riffs that melts together to make his unique sound. Ventura looks to bands such as The Growlers and Milky Chance for inspiration both bands have a more mellow sound that is on par with what Rivers Ventura plays.
Rivers Ventura had a 6 song ep up on all streaming platforms, but took it down because he felt that it didn't have a production value that represented his talents. Until recently his music was no longer on the internet, but he is back on all streaming platforms with a single entitled "Eyes of Paradise". The song is a mellow indie tune that holds the same energy as a Cigarettes after Sex song yet is entirely his own sound. Ventura plans on releasing his first full length album with the title Freedom Cult. The record has no set release date; however, Rivers Ventura says "all the songs will be good".
Ventura plays most instruments that you can hear in his debut single; he primarily plays guitar. Being a multi-instrumentalist allows Rivers Ventura to experience his favorite aspect of music to the fullest: the unlimited creativity. He believes that there is always a new sound to make, you can never run out of ideas even when it seems like you have.
Every once in a while you will find a song that you want to hear a million times, so you play it on repeat for a week straight. Ventura wants to make music that people will feel that way about.
Rivers Ventura is currently only playing small back yard shows and extremely tiny venues so he can work out all the kinks in his set. He fully intends on playing bigger shows when he gets more music released and the kinks worked out.
