Fake News

Fake news, you hear it everyday and you're sick of it; however, Fake News the band produces a psychedelic rock sound you will never get sick of. Their band name was inspired by modern journalism and the seemingly endless biases and tainted stories that make almost everything in the media seem like "fake news".
The Spokane, Washington based band, Fake News, is made up of guitarist and vocalist Doug Tuck, bassist and vocalist Grayson Padgham-Walker, and percussionist Isaac Milne. The band has a rotating cast of a fourth member who plays either another guitar, sings, or plays keyboard. Fake News has roots in pop, alternative and blues in addition to metal. The three permanent members of the band bring in their own influences based on how they got into music. For Doug Tuck those inspirations are Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and more psych rock: the only genre Tuck would play when he began learning guitar at age 10. Isaac Milne listened to Van Halen, King Crimson and an array of jazz shortly before he began drumming. Grayson Padgham-Walker began playing piano and guitar well before high school; he comes from a musical family who had helped him find genres such as classic rock, 60's pop, and psych rock. Padgham-Walker didn't start playing bass until Fake News was formed.
Due to location, Fake News currently does not have any shows booked; two out of three members live in Bellingham, Washington while one of them still lives in Spokane. They have no plans of calling it quits for Fake News, but they currently are not playing together. If you follow their instagram @fakenewstheband you'll know when they book a show. Until they have a show you can listen to their single "Fake News" on most major streaming services and their ep on SoundCloud.
