Cheridomingo

First of all you should know that their name "Cheridomingo" means absolutely nothing. The name came about after someone mispronounced "cherry tomato" which they thought was hysterical. Before the epic mispronunciation of a vegetable the band had gone through quite a few terrible names. How they got their name just goes to show what a fun band Cheridomingo is.
Based out of Simi Valley, California, Cheridomingo is made up vocalist and guitarist Anthony Avina, bassist Alex Gonzalez, drummer Chrys Kaplan, and guitarist Adam Dobrucki. Each member brings in their own inspirations from Death Cab for Cutie and Circa Survive to Frank Carter and the Rattle Snakes to Foo Fighters. The sounds of these inspirations come together to make a truly unique sound. Cheridomingo says they play a "Smorgasbord" of different genres; those genres are mostly in or derived from Indie, Alternative, and Emo.
Cheridomingo hopes that their music provides a sense of community and togetherness. Their goal is for people to come to one of their shows alone and leave having made new friends. If you're in Highland Park and interested in making a new friend head on out to their show at the High Hat on October 9th. Cheridomingo wants their fans to know they love them and they'd like people who aren't fans yet to remember not to sleep on Cheridomingo.
Cheridomingo recently released a new single entitled "Makeup" as well as a video for the song. Makeup has gained quite a bit of press attention. You can listen to it on any streaming service and watch the video on YouTube to see what all the fuss is about. You can also follow Cheridomingo on Instagram @cheridomingoband.
