Little Room

Little Room is a four piece band who got their start in Shanghai, China. The band currently resides in Athens, Greece. Between the four of them they have three different nationalities: Jenny Xing is Canadian, Yanik Hoppe is German, and brothers Pedro and Leon Joullie are Brazilian. It seems that nobody wants to stay in one place.
Little Room's music is a unique mix of many different genres ranging from pop to rock to funk. All the members of the band listen to different music so their influences come through and make a sound that is a mix of genres. Little Room takes inspiration from classic rock bands U2, The Police and Led Zeppelin. As well as individual artists like Flea and Chad Smith of The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Jimi Hendrix, and Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters.
Every musician finds their happiness in different aspects of music. For drummer Yanik Hoppe and guitarist Leon Joullie it's being able to just jam; jamming is far less structured thus allowing for more experimentation. Hoppe and bassist Pedro Joullie often experiment with rhythm while jamming which frequently causes confusion, but it's always a good time. In fact the moment Hoppe knew he wanted to become a musician was when he first met the Joullie brothers: it was the best jam session he's ever been a part of. Pedro Joullie's favorite aspect of music is how it functions a universal language. Music can convey any feeling that someone might want to share; that feeling might be interpreted differently for every single person who listens to it and that the magic of music.
