Altitudes

Vocalist and rhythm guitarist Noah Hines, lead guitarist Charles Pariente, bassist Nick Cruz, and drummer Justin Davis make up the alternative indie rock band Altitudes. Charles Pariente studied at the Berklee College of Music and in turn taught Noah Hines how to play guitar. Justin Davis has played drums in a couple other bands, having played drums for years. As for Nick Cruz, he learned how to play bass just from Altitudes.
Their name is inspired by Jason Becker's song "Altitudes". For many years Noah Hines always used "altitudes" as his handle on social media.
Altitudes take inspiration from the pop punk bands they grew up listening to, specifically Relient K. More recently Noah Hines has been inspired by The Strokes and The Killers.
The first ever Altitudes gig was the at Music City Rehearsal in their home town of San Francisco. They recorded and wrote their EP at Music City so it seemed like the perfect place to debut their music. They had anticipated a "lack-luster" reaction to their song "Melting Point". Instead of the anticipated reaction they got a copiuos amount of applause and at the end of their show they were asked to play the song again.
You can listen to Altitudes on any streaming service. You can also check out their new music video for Melting Point. Be sure to follow them on Instagram @altitudesband.
