Inner 29

All the way from Joinville, SC in Brazil Inner 49 brings emo pop-punk out of the aughts. Inspired by Relient K, Copeland, and Jimmy Eat World; Inner 49 is a brand new band releasing their first ep today (June 7, 2019). One of their first singles This is the Last Time I'll Dream, released in March, was inspired by a second-long clip of a live performance of a song that was unknown to Inner 29. Their name ties into the under laying message of their music. Since many pop-punk bands in the late 1990's and early 2000's used numbers in their names, for example Blink-182 or Sum 41. The "29" in Inner 29 refers to the Wall Street Crash of 1929. The Wall Street Crash of 29 was possibly one of the most widely known crisis; the name means "inner crisis".  Most of their music discusses an internal, or inner problem. All of the band's music, while not abundant quite yet, can be found on almost any major streaming service.
Inner 29 started as a project by lead singer, pianist and guitarist Mateus Freitas. He then recruited a couple friends: bassist/backing vocalist Anderson Leonardo and guitarist/backing vocalist Alexandre Júnior. The two boys had already played with Freitas so it was only natural. Each of the members of Inner 29 come from different musical backgrounds. Alexandre Júnior got into music as a child listening to "old school rock bands" with his father. Anderson Leonardo grew up wanting to play drums. He would gather all the pans in his parent's kitchen and bang on them with wooden spoons. As he got older he fell in love with bands like The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and The Beatles. Mateus Freitas got into music after getting into video games. He became infatuated with the soundtracks of the games he played. Growing up he began to get into heavier and heavier music eventually finding Relient K's album MMHMM.
Each member of Inner 29 describes the band differently. Mateus Freitas: "Sincerity, excitement, faith, union, and expression". Alexandre Júnior: "Family, unity, creativity, sincerity, and expression." Anderson Leonardo: "Expression, unity, movement, manliness, and attitude". After listening to them how would you describe Inner 29?
