Young Hunger

Detroit based punk rock band, Young Hunger is made up of Ben Wixson on guitar and vocals, Ryan Collins on guitar, Nick Herdzik on bass, and Bob Duncan on drums. Young Hunger takes inspiration from a wide selection of artists; all ranging in the rock genre. From the 90's wave of punk to classic rock. Specifically the Clash is particularly inspirational because of Joe Stummer's desire to always take the music to the next level, regardless of where he was at in the music.
Young Hunger started out with a show they helped book for their buddies' band that they ended up playing at as well. The show was at a very do-it-yourself kind of joint called The Sanctuary. Which did not seem like much of a sanctuary with all things considered. The heat was out in the venue; as you can imagine February in Michigan is not the warmest place you could be, even inside. So with frozen fingers and heated nerves Young Hunger played their first show. Which turned out to be pretty good, all things considered. 
Young Hunger greatly values the local music scene in Detroit. The music scene is somewhere anyone can be themselves and feel good about it. So, if you are in or near the city come on out and support them. Young Hunger plays on June 5, 2019 at El Club supporting Ignite along side Reuther. If you are far from Michigan then get out there and support your local music scene.
