Boston Marriage

Boston Marriage is a dream rock band from Orlando, Florida. All the artists have very different personal inspirations. However, as a group they take inspiration from bands like Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse, and The Killers. Fueled by Ramen has been quite a big influence for lead singer and guitarist Kris Lane. The record label is home to Paramore, a band who's lead singer brought a strong female voice into rock music. Paramore's lead singer Hayley Williams has influenced many female musicians, especially Lane. 
The artists in Boston Marriage got into music in their own way. Vocalist and guitarist Melissa Pereira spent her childhood listening to country music and making up little songs. Drummer Shane O'Brien got into music a few years after his parents got him a guitar. He learned the concept of guitar tabs and everything made sense. Russ Beard was in awe after his father told him about Geddy Lee, Rush's bassist and vocalist. So, with a little help from his involvement in church music Beard became a vocalist and bassist. Kris Lane grew up in a musically inclined family, so her love of music is most likely genetic.
