St. Yuma

Musicians Stevan Alva, Zack Alva, Kennedy Webb, Levi Corrao (bassist) and Cody Franklin(drummer) make up the Dallas, Texas based band, St. Yuma. The name St. Yuma was inspired by a song from the 1990's entitled Yuma, AZ. by Damien Jurado. But truthfully the name has no meaning.
Brothers Stevan and Zack Alva got into music after their dad and older siblings introduced them to quite a few amazing bands. Stevan and Zack Alva are the lead singer/guitarist and keys/guitarist, respectively. St. Yuma  takes their inspiration from bands and artists like Silver Jews, Timber Timbre, Bill Callahan, and Valley Maker. As well as a plethora of local Seattle bands including, but not limited to Shoecraft and Deep Sea Diver.
St. Yuma is made up of self taught musicians and classically trained violinist Kennedy Webb who's talents do not go unnoticed. For all the musicians there was never a big epiphany where they knew that this is what they wanted to do for the rest of their lives. It is something that has been very natural for them. All the members of St. Yuma love everything that music and being in a band brings. Especially the communal aspect, they love getting to chat with people before and after their shows. They are very thankful for all the support the band has received. They are currently recording their next record. Be sure to listen to their previous work on most major streaming services and follow their Instagram @st.yuma.
