Missyou

Missyou is a New York City based band that does not necessarily subscribe to a genre. However, if you had to label their music it'd be a broad mix of alternative, rock, and indie hip hop. The band consists of singer Baise Begnan, synth/guitarist Omar Wald, bassist Pete Valentini, and drummer Vin Quinones. Their name, Missyou, comes from the title of a song they wrote when they first became a band. They make music simply because they love the freedom to create something from nothing.
Missyou got into music though their love of music as well as art. Their interests in both music and art bring them together as a band. They take inspiration from visual arts, film, and music. The list of artists that Missyou is inspired by is a long, meandering list that would go on forever. A few notable mentions of bands that inspire Missyou are Radio Head, The 1975, The Neighbourhood, Bring Me the Horizon, and Counting Crows. These inspirations are apparent in their music. You can listen to Missyou on Spotify and watch their music videos on YouTube.
As does many other bands do, Missyou wants their music to be known. So be sure to stream their music and follow their Instagram @missyou_music for dates: show and new release dates.
