The Toy Guns
Based in The City of Angels, The Toy Guns are a Rock 'n' Roll band made up of vocalist Justin Gossman, vocalist/guitarist Troy Braunstein, bassist AJ Tucci, and drummer Jesse Farmer.
The Toy Guns have been inspired by many artists. From the classics The Stooges, Stones and Beatles to the classics of the aughts, Kings of Leon and the Strokes. As well as newer bands like Sunflower Bean and Cage the Elephant. The list, however, goes much further than the mentioned bands.
Vocalist and guitarist Troy Braunstein got an itch for music after listening to a Ramones Greatest Hits album on repeat when he was a kid. He would play along with the record and learn what made the Ramones so great, a few power chords. In high school Braunstein actually scratched that itch for music. He began to take music seriously, discovering loads of bands that would go on to shape his own style. Troy Braunstein has played with various bands since then and has continued to let his style and playing be molded. For singer and songwriter Justin Gossman music was something that he resisted at first. Growing up he was forced to play classical piano, so music was not something he gravitated towards. Gossman put together some friends who were also musicians after not truly being satisfied with what he was doing musically. And there you have it... The Toy Guns.
The Toy Guns is a new project with only a few singles out. You can listen to what has been released so far on iTunes, Spotify, as well as Apple and Amazon music.
