Posture

New Canadian pop-rock band, Posture is made up of Ronak Bambra guitarist and lead singer, Ryan Berrie drummer, and Trevor Scott bassist. Each musician in Posture has had just enough lessons on the instrument to know the basics, but beyond those lessons they are self taught.
The members of Posture all come from families of musicians. So, naturally, music peaked their interests at a young age. Just in different ways, from looking though their father's music collection to having listened to music since being in utero.
Every musician takes a copious amount of influence from other artists. For Ronak Bambra artists like The Smith's Johnny Marr pushed him to better his songwriting. The Smith's aren't his only influence, Bambra takes interest in anything from Nick Drake to Madonna. Deep Purple and other rock and jazz drummers have heavily influenced how Ryan Berrie plays his drums. As for Trevor Scott the absolute recklessness of punk rock has always drawn him in. Scott also tends to listen to a diverse array of artists and genres.
The name Posture comes from a discussion about being taught proper posture by a certain drum throne. After a day of thinking about how the word has a nice ring to them as well as a beloved double meaning. The name stuck.
