Cannibal Kids

Florida based indie band Cannibal Kids is made up of lead singer and rhythm guitarist Damian Gutierrez, drummer Luke Faulkingham, and lead guitarist Dustin Diaz. When the boys were 15-16 they were really into urban exploring, some people might call it trespassing. There was an abandoned campus near by and they decided to explore. When they went inside the building they came across a psychiatrist's office,  in the office were student records. They looked through some of the records, in one there was a list of reasons a student had detention: fights and basic behavioral issues. At the end of the list was "attempted cannibalism". After reading this the boys promptly left. When they returned home they did a little research on what the building actually was. As it turns out, the building used to be a juvenile detention center. So, when it came time to name their band, "Cannibal Kids" was the obvious choice for them.
Cannibal Kids are inspired by a diverse range of music; from obscure Japanese music to bedroom pop. Each musician in Cannibal Kids contributes their very different styles to the writing process. However, Cannibal Kids tend to play indie music of any indie subgenre.
Cannibal Kids mix and produce all their own music. They hope to be able to work with other artists to produce work other than their own.
The best way you can support Cannibal Kids is to stream and follow them on Spotify. If you're in Florida Cannibal Kids are playing at House Show in Tallahassee tomorrow night(1/26/19). Be sure to follow them on Instagram @cannibalkids.
