Babe Corner

What's cooler than a girl band? Not much. Consisting of lead singer and guitarist Lindsay, Alli on keys, Jackie-Bee on guitar, Jess on drums, Haley on bass, and all but Jess and Lindsay on backing vocals. The five girls make up the band Babe Corner.
Inspired by bands such as Sales, Winona Forever, and Bridal Party. Babe Corner plays a genre called babe core, a type of pop-punk. They have one song up on Bandcamp, Babe corner is working on an ep that is set to be released early summer 2019. The name Babe Corner comes from the girls watching a group of friends skateboarding. A bunch of their girl friends were watching their guy friends skate, when a girl skater came up to the boys and said in an annoyed tone, "Ugh, so it looks like you've got a babe corner over there." To which all of the guys excitedly realized, that they did, in fact have a babe corner. So, with the thought that everyone deserves to be cheered on by their very own babe corner, the band was named.
Babe Corner played their first show to roughly 700 people, a crowd that was more than they bargained for. The band agreed to play a show at Eastside Flea, a flea market in Vancouver BC. Jumping into something that they thought would be a small show to at most 80 people turned out to be their favorite show to date.
Babe Corner is just as aesthetically pleasing as they are musically pleasing. Be sure to check out their Instagram @babecornerbaby and listen to their song on Bandcamp. And remember, nobody puts baby in a corner.
